We had a day off of school which means outing time! I've had a zoo pass since the fall but have only used it for the little boys. Now we were ready to put it to really good use. We enjoyed the elephants - not so much the big pooping show we saw (the kids were transfixed) but we LOVED the new baby. We explored the new African exhibit. It is wonderful. The animals were cool, but we were fans of the drums and huts. The kids played there for 45 minutes and had to be dragged out to see anything else. It was beautiful weather with lots of open space for running. Perfect! Yes, Martin Luther King, Jr. - we really did enjoy your birthday.
