Each grade of elementary experiences a special cultural day - 3rd grade does Roman Days. This year I volunteered at the Patina (restaurant). All the kids lounged on padded benches and ate olives, cheeses, breads w/oil, grapes, and even had slushies. I love being a part of all this but most of all I love being able to see Max. So glad this gladiator was happy to see me too (my drop by to his sister was not received nearly as well - but I'll just try to forget that). School tends to be so serious these days, I'm glad there is a little bit of fun still built into it.
