Max gets home from school around 4pm. Everyday we look through his folder and he does his homework while a put together a little snack for him. That's kind of our routine. Well the other day Kenna decided to get into the action. She rounded up some craft foam and went to town. She told us more than once to leave her alone because she was doing her homework and so I did.

When I came back after a few minutes this is what I found.
And then today, I went to write an email while she was painting some pictures and found a blue faced girl! I always stress that we just paint and draw on paper but somehow my message is not getting across. Maybe the pictures and impromptu baths are too much of a REWARD.

Don't I remember a picture in one of your mom's photo albums of a little girl (who looks a lot like Kenna) with green marker all over her body? --- or was the Becca? I can't remember.
I have a little girl who colors and paints on everything BUT paper no matter how often I stress the "only paper" rule. I have a nice green crayon mark all the way down my chair rail in the dinning room. She's painted my floor, her toys, herself, her clothes...you name it, she's colored or painted on it. Maybe they will be famous artists someday.
