Trunk or Treating

Once again I was in charge of our church's annual Trunk or Treat.  Between a football game, soccer game, and something else, it was a rather crazy day.  Thank goodness Becca and Dave were there to help.  Brett had a major meltdown before  his soccer game and I couldn't for the life of me figure out what he wanted.  He was supposed to get in his soccer gear and then change into his buzz lightyear costume afterwards.  Well, Genevieve and Kenna were already dressed up and he wanted to be as well - but in some strange power Ranger costume.  Turns out he that that was a REALLY MEAN ZURG and was afraid soccer would take away his chance to be Zurg. Becca, figured everything out and smoothed it over. He played his game and then arrived at the evening's event in his styling the PowerRanger/Really Mean Zurg.
This year our Trunk-or-treat included a  chili cook-off (I was quite surprised to win 3rd prize!), a firetruck visit, a fishpond, cake walk, ring toss, dunk the deacon, basketball toss, face painting, a coloring station, and few other things.  There were lots of people and luckily enough food.  My night was busy but seemed to go well.  I know the kids enjoyed themselves and raked in lots of candy.  And isn't that want it's really all about?
