Bluebell

My boys refusing to don their icecream making hats
With an endless number of 100+ days and summer coming to the end (not to mention our home in chaos/demo/reconstruction mode), we had to get out and go somewhere.  It had been ages since we'd been to the Bluebell Factory so we coordinated with some friends and were off.  The drive itself is beautiful and the kids did a great job sitting through the movie, watching the ice cream bars, sandwiches, and various ice creams being made.  Did you know they can make 600 ice cream sandwiches in a minute? Amazing!  But hands down, our favorite part was hitting the ice cream shop at the end and getting our free scoops.  The best ice cream in Texas!  I think we could have eaten at least 2 more bowls.

I love that getting ice cream can be educational as well. We need a place like this in MN. Or maybe we need a hot chocolate one :)
