The 1st and last time I saw snow where we live was on December 24, 2004 - we were getting ready to eat Christmas Eve dinner with friends and rushed outside when we saw that white stuff falling from the sky. The kids were eating it, dancing in it, and we were all delighted. Like Max said at that time, "Jesus made a Christmas miracle!"
Well, it looks like miracles are happening once again. The weather here is always crazy - one day it is 75 and the next it day it is 35 - and just continues to be that way. So on December 1oth - when the temperature suddenly plummeted, we were enjoying a cozy afternoon inside and all of the sudden we noticed SNOW! We rushed outside to feel and taste that wonderful white stuff and to document that this was really happening. (I was thrilled to find out that the elementary school let everyone out of class to enjoy it while it was actually falling - so Max got to experience the fun too.) Lucky for us, it continued on and off into the night - perfect timing since our youth group activity for the night was Christmas carolling - who would ever guess you'd be carolling in the snow in this neck of the woods. Definitely a wonderful Christmas miracle!
