Fancy Nancy Day

If you haven't read the "Fancy Nancy" books, you need to go out and pick one up.  They are one of Kenna's favorites -her 5th birthday party was even Fancy Nancy.  The kindergartners at her school are all familiar with this character who has a talent for making everything glamorous and over the top.  To celebrate what they have been reading, the school had a "Fancy Nancy" day.  Kenna had her outfit picked out for weeks and was literally counting down the days.  She went for a classic kind of fancy and even took it upon herself to apply makeup for this special event.  While parents weren't invited to the festivities, Max filled me in on the kindergarten's parade of fanciness - boys in full suits and top hats, girls in ribbons and bows, fancy writing, and manners too.  What a day!
