Hippity-Hoppity

Two days after the Emma's, I was in charge of putting together our ward (congregation) Easter Egg hunt.  Besides losing my own son in the fog, everything went smoothly.  Food, LOTS of eggs filled with candy, a splash pad to cool off in, a park to play at, and lots of friends and visiting.
In preparation for our family's Easter, we got out the eggs and started decorating.  Brett was very excited about all the lovely colors this year but didn't have much patience when it came to letting them sit in the dye.  We tried a rubber band trick this year - the result was some cool stripes on our eggs.  I'm sure our skills could be improved but for now, success is just in the doing.  We are excited for a relaxing Easter morning tomorrow.  I'm hoping after our Family home evening on Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us, that the kids realize this holiday is about more than baskets and eggs.  Happy Almost Easter!
