We have loved these past few days - we don't really know what it is like to have family close but being able to spend this time with them has been so refreshing. Family is truly a gift, they love you in the good and bad times. Grandy had to leave on Sunday and as always we were sad to see her go. We tried to capture the adoration she receives from all these boys but sometimes such strong emotions can't be caught on film. :)
Later that evening, we introduced Grandma to the shocking game. I think, like me, she decided it was not quite her favorite. The best was when Cade wanted to get in on the fun - he'd look at his hand with a strange look and say, "Owee!" The trip for my parents, didn't end on a great note. We stuffed my dad with Graeter's ice cream but injured him on our outing to the bowling alley. Cade threw a ball down the wrong lane (he is constantly throwing those balls faster than one can keep track off), Grandpa went to chase it and stepped onto the slippery lane only to land on his shoulder which has had problems in that past. Turns out he tore everything, went home in a sling, and is now scheduled for rotator cuff surgery. We are so SORRY Dad! Wish we could do over that morning. We heard they made it home safely. Hope our next get together is less eventful. Love you!

I love that Grandy and your kids are such good friends. I hate that Dad got hurt. Ugh. And I'm sorry it happened when you guys were supposed to be having such a great time. At least you had Graeter's, right?
