Peter Cetera
For Mike's birthday we went out on not one but TWO date nights! We had originally planned our quiet dinner and movie night -which is always wonderful. But we found out from some friends that Peter Cetera would be performing with the symphony that same weekend - so we got some last minute tickets and joined them for the evening. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical - but it turned out to be GREAT! Who doesn't love the Karate Kid song,"The Glory of Love" - all of the sudden I had flashbacks to when I was 10 again, sitting in Jorja's s big blue van with her sisters belting out that song. And then the middle school years came flooding back (in a rosy-colored way) with "You're the Inspiration" - my friend Krista and I did a great parody to that song entitled "You're the Perspiration"- probably better forgotten. Then there was "The Next Time I Fall" and that great song from the movie Chances Are, "After All" - it is amazing how music brings you back. So fun to share the experience with my handsome hubby - now those classic songs will make me think of him too.
