Cade is now a week old. Compared to his sturdy, filled-out siblings, he looks (and sometimes sounds) like a newly hatched baby chick. This week has been tiring - thank goodness for grandma and her help. Every day I am feeling stronger and a little more up to taking on this family of 6.
Some things we have discovered about little Cade this week:
1. He likes the sound of the vacuum and the blender
2. He puts up with Brett's adoration/mauling fairly well
3. He does not smile when he has gas - but does flash us some beautiful grins when sleeping
4. He loves the hot, humid, 100 degree weather that we have been having here
5. Sucking on his hands is quite enjoyable
6. Bouncing, eating, and sleeping are all good things 7. He does a great "Super Baby" pose - always stretching that left hand up over his head - love it!
We are still getting used to each other but the kids love it when "the little guy" is awake even if he is crying. Thank goodness for that. :)

So sweet!!! My girls got so excited whenever Rylin had her eyes open that they would tell everyone, even random people that Rylin opened her eyes. People were like, "what are they telling me?" It was pretty funny. Hope you are doing okay.
He is so beautiful and I love the photo of Mom holding him as well. Hope Max's baptism went well today. We're sad we missed it! You should know that "Baby Mine" is Sarah's favorite song currently, so she was thrilled when you put it on your blog. She is always requesting me to play it on the piano.
That picture of Brett looking at Cade is so precious! You are very observant, especially for being in the "new baby coma" phase of sleep deprivation. I could take some lessons :)
Mims, how are things going? I hope that the crying subsides soon. He really does look like a Keyser. What a sweet, sweet little guy. Wish I could hold him.
since we were out of town for so long i sort of lost touch of my blog browsing. i can't believe how big all your kids are! (and give max a big happy birthday kiss for us!)
