On Saturday, June 27, Max was baptized into the church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. It was a very special day and a wonderful thing for Max to decide to do. In our faith, children are baptized at the age of 8 (age of accountability) rather than at infancy. Grandparents from both sides were there and Max's dad was able to perform the baptism and confirmation. Max took the whole thing very seriously and was even nervous about the program coming together smoothly. Kenna and our friend Michelle sang a beautiful piece called, "If the Savior Stood Beside Me." Earlier in the week, they practiced together and Kenna was flopping around, barely singing. So on baptism day, Max leaned over to his dad when they got up to sing and said, "This is what I am most worried about!" But Kenna wowed us all and sang loudly and beautifully into the microphone - it was so sweet and I don't think there were many dry eyes after that song. There was such a good spirit throughout the evening and we are proud of Max for taking on this big responsibility. He is a great kid and a good example to us and so many others. We love you Buddy!

Wow! I can't believe he's 8! How fun. What a happy mom-moment to witness your children as they make the decision to be baptized.
So cute. I love that Kenna sang and did so great!
Congrats on having Max baptized!! That must be such a special day. You look wonderful and congrats on your sweet baby boy! I was a little late checking your blog...I think he is now about 4 weeks old! He looks like a sweet little baby. I hope you are getting rest and feeling well!
Congratulations Max! What a wonderful example you are to your younger brothers and sister. I am currently teaching primary in my ward to the 7-8 year olds and so I get to go to all of the baptisms for the kids in my class. What a fun age "8" is. Hope you had a great day!
