The 4th of July

We spent the 4th of July in Hawaii with almost all of my family. While we didn't witness any huge firework shows or concerts, it was a great place to celebrate.  The kids loved running free all over the resort, having the beach and pool right there, and ordering food by the poolside.  I love the weather and the relaxation (as much as you can get watching 4 kids anyway).

We tried for a few family pictures and this is about the best we got. Hard to get 9 kids to look at the camera and be happy when they would much rather be doing something else.
That night grandpa had to make sure that there were some sort of fireworks and lit sparklers over and over again for grandchildren who delightfully whirled around the beach watching the display of light against dark.  Thanks for burning your fingers dad - while the kids may not have appreciated it, I did.  Happy Birthday America - wish we could celebrate every year in your 50th state!
