Hidden Falls

While our trip was a lot of hanging out and relaxation, we did try and squeeze in one adventure day. CAS & Jon, KJ & Marlowe, Mike & I, grandkids - Max & Sarah, and my dad all headed out an a kayaking expedition to some hidden waterfalls.  Max didn't love the kayaking - more work than he anticipated, but he did concede that the waterfall was definitely worth it - freezing but worth it. It was a beautiful hike, peaceful river, and fun company.
Nothing like finding a stick that looks like a gun!

When we got back to the hotel, we celebrated Brooks 1st birthday - what a lucky guy.  He's such a cutie and it was a treat to be with him on his big day.  Genevieve made sure she fancied up for the occasion. That girl always had on several layered dresses and necklaces - too funny! We enjoyed the celebratory meal and soaked up our last night together.  Aloha Hawaii!
