American Girl Birthday

Never before have we been to an American Girl store so it took our breath away.  Beautiful dolls, accessories, clothes, and display cases everywhere!  Kenna had to pose with the new Kanani doll before racing upstaries to take Julie and Rebecca to the beauty salon.  It was so fun to watch - Kenna and Alexa were in paradise.  They both decided to get their dolls' ears pierced and hair done.  We had to take a picture of Julie "before" - her hair was in need of some serious help.  The girls were enthralled as they watched the dolls in their beauty chairs. Each doll was taken to ear piercing 1st - Alexa's doll returned for hair styling but Kenna's doll, Julie, did not.  Turns out she had a mishap with the piercing and was at the clinic to be fixed up.  All turned out well and Julie came back looking just like new. Julie has pretty much become Kenna's sister so it was magical to see her all done up. 

We had a special birthday brunch with party hats, tea cups for the dolls, a gift bag with doll T-shirts and balloons, and a very yummy cake. Kenna was still feeling a little wiped out but LOVED every minute of it. This place was like Disney World to these 2 little girls. After totally perusing the store, Kenna used her money to buy Julie an new spring outfit, some slippers for Kenna, and Julies bed! This was one fancy bed - beads and everything and an American Girl price tag to boot but Kenna wanted it more than anything so that's what we got.  She had to open it as soon as we got to the hotel.  Alexa spent her time playing with her doll's earings.  We headed back the same day - it was a short trip but so worth it.  The girls were in HEAVEN!

5. She loves birthdays and holidays just like me!

6. She makes beautiful things - Kenna is always making some craft
