Today was a big day. A first in the 9 years we have lived here - we had an official; school is cancelled snow day! Based on weather forecasts and unusually cold winter temperatures, it was announced Thursday at noon. The kids came home excited and we anxiously awaited the white stuff. We waited, and waited, and waited and it NEVER came. Nothing! Just some freezing rain and icy morning roads. We enjoyed the day off and bundled up to experience it a bit. But after a prediction of 2-6 inches, it was pretty disappointing. And now school on President's Day too - hmm.....
