Top of the World

Every day we look out on the Grand Tetons. They command attention as they reach up into the sky.  What would it be like to be up so high?  Today we decided to find out.  We took the gondola up to the "top of the world".  Even though we easily glided up in less than 5 minutes, it gave us the feeling of conquering something.  And the view!  You could see forever.

The kids enjoyed collecting flowers, throwing rocks, and tried looking for snow but without much success.  What was truly amazing was the hang gliders/kite flyers.  They threw up these parachute type things that would catch the wind and then they were off, floating down, down, down the mountain, eventually reaching ground below.  Max was mesmerized and is determined to do this next time we are in Jackson.  He's got guts.
