Pumpkin Patch

Today we skipped girl scouts and headed out to the pumpkin patch - it is October and our lives are way too busy so in terms of priorities, something had to go.  The picture/scene areas were a little different than last year - but we still found some things to climb, some pumpkin footballs (Cade was in heaven) and a few new areas that met our approval.  Searching for the perfect pumpkin is always a challenge, but this year the drought seems to have exacerbated the problem.  Luckily Max has a great eye and helped ensure that everyone got a good solid ball of orange. Once that job was done, our continued exploration led us to an empty stage stacked with hula hoops.  In no time my kids were shaking, jumping, and putting those things into motion.

It felt like a celebration watching the free movement of these bodies dancing and swaying.  Simple and more than enough.  Well worth the girl scout meeting we chose to skip.

Good choice! Less is more. But I wouldn't want to mess with Max with that pic where he's about to chuck the pumpkin. I'm guessing Cade was doing the same thing!! Oh the fun! I love a trip to the pumpkin patch.
