Tonight we saw Santa Clause - really. He arrived on a shiny red firetruck and greeted each child with hugs and handshakes. He invited us into our neighbor's house and had gifts for everyone. Cade wasn't totally enamored with the Jolly Old Elf and went home before his name was called. Santa was kind enough to give me Cade's present and he happily tried out his foam sword and bathtub fishy. Max and Brett also got the same swords - there is a fair amount of fencing/fighting going on. Christmas is so close now! Tomorrow we'll finish all the wrapping and heat the pool. In the midst of all our excitement, we'll try to reflect on the humble beginnings of a babe born 2000 years ago that changed the earth and our lives. Our greatest joy comes as we strive to know, follow, and be guided by Christ, the King of kings. May we continue to seek Him.
