Butterflies

Kenna got a butterfly garden for Easter this year.  We took care of the tiny little caterpillars, watched as they spun their cocoons, waited for them to emerge from their chrysalis's, were transfixed too see them as new butterflies with dewy wings, enjoyed them for many days as they flew around their mesh cage and feasted on orange nectar, and finally decided it was time to let them go.  The kids gathered around but soon realized these winged beauties needed a little help figuring out what to do.  So with a butterfly on each hand - Max, Kenna, and Brett raised them to the sky and helped them each take off. Hope our guests for a while our enjoying their freedom in the great big world.  We sure loved having them with us.
