More Utah Happenings

There is so much to do here!  They day we spent with my mom, we tried out the Alpine slides, got some lunch, and enjoyed hanging out for a bit.  We drove her to the airport in the afternoon and had just enough time to check out the conference center before heading to meet our friend for Family Home Evening.  It was so neat to be in the room where the Prophet and apostles speak!  And we loved going on the roof and throwing money in the waterfalls.  We spent the evening with the Boyers and the Brimhalls (love it that 2 of our good friends have become friends) and hauled ourselves back up the canyon late that night with the kids crashed in the back.
The next evening, we headed to the temple with Mike's family to do family sealings - there was a moment of panic when they told Mike and I that they don't rent out temple clothing at that specific temple, but it worked out and we had a great experience.  The temple sealer had wonderful insights and stories and went out of his way to help us get our family work down so many have the opportunity to be together throughout eternity.  The night was beautiful and the view from the Draper temple GORGEOUS!  So grateful for a good husband, his cousins, and exemplary in-laws.
Another night we took Katie home with us and we all tried out the Alpine Coaster!  Even Cade was big enough to go on it this year - that thing whips around the corners and my kids could not be happier.  The little guys chant, "Faster, faster!" and Cade was more than ready to go on it again.  (Too bad it costs $20 a pop.)
Jorja, Missy, Me

I was also lucky enough to get together with my childhood girlfriends - Missy and Jorja (Becca was out of town).  They make me laugh like no other and I admire the incredible women they are.  I love being able to catch up with them on a yearly basis and long for the occasional Sunday movie night (with caramel popcorn of course) like we shared long ago.  Friends are a true blessing - so many lives touch ours for good.
