Playing Hard

Last night we caught the premier of Mike's cousin's movie.  Chris Rueckert plays a very convincing Nazi soldier in a movie called "The Resistance Movement."  We weren't sure if it was good or bad to know him. :) Afterward Kenna and Max spent last night at their cousins' house so in the morning I only had the 2 boys.  We decided to enjoy our morning by heading to the park and the pool.  They have a small lazy river area and fun slide at the pool.  Cade couldn't get enough of that slide - he'd go down, then run back up, go down, and up - it kept him busy but wore him out too.  Brett is a little fish and can swim everywhere!  He discovered a playground by the pool too - perfect during adult swim. Water and sun are always a great combo and we enjoyed it while Cade slept - hoping he'd rest up enough to survive our evening adventures.
That's right - we headed to Lagoon!  First time with all 4 kids.  Grandy, and Kim and kids met us there with a big home cooked dinner.  We ran from ride to ride - turns out Cade and Brett are quite adventurous!  They loved some of the spinning and dropping rides that began to turn my stomach.  Each new ride was a new thrill - I love seeing such excitement!  Cade and Brett were great pals and Max and Kenna did great on the bigger rides/roller coasters - good thing Kim has a stronger stomach than mine. :) It was a beautiful evening and not too crowded.  I think it's one of the few times that I went away from a place like this not feeling exhausted and done with that adventure.  I'm thinking we may just have to do it again.
Cade and Grandy on the animal train - seriously we saw lions, camels, and more!
