Pioneer Day - July 24

Grandy drove us to the airport today.  Our flight was around noon and we thought just maybe, we might be able to squeeze a bit of the Pioneer Day Parade (the 4th largest parade in America) in before we had to go.  Chris worked her magic and we found a great spot just in time.  We were thrilled to see President Eyring of the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.  Brett and Cade were over the moon with the Madagascar float (they have asked to look at the picture OVER and OVER again).  There were horses, music, and so many pretty things.

Grandy and Max stayed put in their spots but I noticed by other 3 inching closer and closer throughout the festivities.  They were mesmerized and more than a little disappointed when we had to leave to catch our flight.  But being the good travelers that they are, we flew to California without problem and found Grandpa anxiously awaiting our arrival.  Max and Cade helped with the luggage (Cade wheeling his bag all the way to the car - no one's going to help that boy!).  The next portion of vacation's begun and I think we are ready for it.

Becca and kids were gone when we arrived and mom was off somewhere too so we made ourselves at home.  The glimmering blue pool pulled on us and soon all 4 kids were in their swimsuits splashing away in the California afternoon.  Cade can now swim all by himself and it was one jump off the diving board after another and another.  Pure bliss!  From one place to another in only a matter of hours - it is amazing.  That evening we headed to Michael and Jen's for dinner where there was a constant band of pirates running, threatening, and playing.  All these cousins in one place is a bit chaotic but SO fun!  My children may never want to go home.
