The Rodeo is here! We decided to hit the carnival and family fun spots on the very first official weekend (while the weather was still somewhat cool). It ended up being a beautiful day and since we got there early, the crowds were thin and the lines short - woo
hoo! The kids were great - they all loved the rides. Thank goodness Kenna wore her cowgirl boots - they gave here the extra inch or two she needed to ride the bigger rides. She was just flying (and laughing the whole time) on the
rollercoaster with dad.
We sampled some rodeo food, watched some crazy animal races, spent some time at the petting zoo, and thoroughly enjoyed a "fun on the farm experience" where the kids gathered eggs, wool, milk, and vegetables and took them to a play farmer's market to sell - so cute! Brett loved all the animals and ended up singing "
Ee-I-
Ee-I-Oh" for most of the day. As we headed home with prizes in tow and passed throngs of people just arriving, all I could think was I am glad we are on our way out - loved the day but we'd had our fill.

So fun! I can't believe that you are already worrying about the weather being cool before it gets too hot, - and were still wearing summer clothing in the photos. You definitely live in a different place than us! What a cute rodeo. We'll have to come join you sometime for that. I love the EE-I-EE-I -O!
Mimi - your children are so darlingl!! It's been fun to watch your blog. How are you feeling??? Holding up alright? You're a beautiful mommy.
