Double Digits

It's hard to believe but today I have a 10-year-old!  Max officially hit double-digit status and has no qualms about it.  He woke up ready to tear into the festivities - literally.  All those presents on the mantle place are just too much for someone who CAN NOT WAIT.  Since his friend party is tonight - we let him open as much as Dad could stay for.

And the big gift this year was an airgun!  Max has been researching all about these babies and has talked of nothing else for the past few weeks.  We'll hope this will satiate his interest yet not put the rest of us at danger.  Max is really a pretty responsible kid so I'm not too worried. After a few presents, we had to get Brett and Kenna ready for vacation Bible school.  While they were there, Max, Cade, and I hit IHOP for a birthday breakfast.  Max is a great kid and I love every opportunity we have to celebrate his life.
