Tubes
After too many ear infections that antibiotics just couldn't seem to help, it was decided that it was time for Brett to get tubes in his ears. He is the sweetest little boy and has been talking up a storm for as long as I can remember - but his language only makes sense to him. So in an effort to help him hear, speak, and gain a little more balance we went in to the surgery center EARLY Thursday morning for the procedure. He was such a good boy and only struggled a bit when he came out of anaesthesia. I love knowing that he finally hears what we are saying and I think he loves it too. He now enjoys shrieking and screaming - I think he just loves the sound of all that loud noise.

I love what you said about wishing you could call us to come over to play today. I wish we could do that too. We just invested in a web camera. We'll have to hook up on Skype so our kids can get to know each other. Now that Brett can HEAR us, it would be a ton of fun to see him try to communicate with Maggie! I hope the tube-thing is a huge success for him. It was the best decision we could have made for Ben.
Oh, that is a sweet picture. I hope he feels better now and can finally be comfortable.
Poor little guy. It will be worth it, though. I was sooooo worried about Syd when she had her adenoids out too...she was 20 months old. But, it went perfectly and she has been so much happier since then. Give him a kiss for me.
