Max's basketball season started in December so we have been going to Saturday games for quite a while. I have to admit, is so fun to see your child take off in a certain area. Thanks to his dad's encouragement and private coaching - Max practices shooting hoops in our backyard daily and it has paid off! The other week he scored 16 points in a game and then the one week Mike and I were out of town, he scored 22 of 42 points! People were asking our friend if this "next Larry Bird" player was his son and since Max was doing so well - he was happy to claim him as his own for the moment.
Max has admitted that he tries not to look to happy when he is doing well (he wants to be like the pros and since they don't celebrate when they make a shot, neither does Max), but inside he is loving it and so are we.
