Families Can Be Together Forever

This morning, Dolly and Diego were sealed to each other and their children.  Through the power of the priesthood, the keys to bind families together into eternity are available in the temple ordinance known as sealing.  It was an joyous and emotional occasion. Their oldest son, has a different biological father who will not allow Steve to participate in this ordinance (even though bio dad is not a part of his son's life).  This is a source of heartache for the family and they have been working to get approval.  The time will come when they can be sealed with S but it was not today.  As they were together in that beautiful temple room, wearing white, the absence of S was tangibly felt and how he was missed!  Tears of sorrow were mixed with tears of joy as they received the sealing blessing with their 2 younger children.  The Lord knows all things and all will work out in His time.

They have the most loving family. Both sets of grandparents along with countless friends were their to greet them  outside the temple.

Words cannot describe my feelings this day.  How blessed we are that families can be together forever.  This provides me with strength, commitment, and comfort in my own life and family relationships. We love this wonderful family and feel so honored to have been able to be with them for this sacred experience.  Congratulations Dolly and Diego and family!
