Skeeters Game

Kenna's Texas Star's choir has been performing in various places. Tonight they got to open our new minor league's baseball game with the national anthem.  The stadium is gorgeous, they were handing out free stuff, the Skeeter mascot (a mosquito - very fitting) was buzzing around - it was quite fun.  The kids looked so cute out there on the big green field and sang their hearts out.  It was exciting.

We then had the chance to watch the game.  We got hot dogs, drinks, and popcorn but after about 45 minutes the younger kids lost interest.  Luckily this stadium has a whole kids area with a splash pad, big playground, and merry-go-round too.  There are giant screens for the parents to watch the game while the kids run every which way.  We even walked by a special box seating area complete with a swimming pool to play in while watching the game.  Cade was ready to hop the fence and jump in but to my relief, we didn't have the right tickets to get into that.  It was quite the experience with something for everyone.  If it was a little closer, I might even think about buying season tickets - just for access to the play area.  Ingenious design.

That sounds amazing! More places need to do that. My kids would LOVE it. And I love the skirts that Kenna's choir wears. How fun that she got to sing at a game!
