Puppet Play

Today Elmo was at the local toy store.  Our neighbor had invited us to meet her there and grab some lunch afterwards.  The boys weren't sure about how to approach  Elmo at first but he was so warm and friendly that in no time they were sitting on his lap and giving him hugs.  Cade sat down a couple of times - what else is that furry lap for?  After rubbing elbows with the celebrity, we ran around the store trying out all kinds of things. Cade hopped on the seesaw and before we knew it, Elmo was on it with him. It was really quite funny and Cade was thrilled.  We had a great outdoor lunch and then were ready to go our separate ways.  I loaded the kids, went to start the car, and NOTHING.  I quickly flagged down my neighbor, tried her jumper cables and still NOTHING.  We enlisted the help of a few other people and came to the conclusion it was NOT the battery.  Seeing as we were not far from the Honda dealership, they sent someone out with a tow truck.  Turns out we need a new starter - it's always something exciting.  My sweet neighbor Barry waited this whole time, helped us load the car seats into her car, and drove us home just in time to meet the bus.  Looks like we will be without a car for a while - in the meantime, Brett is happy to get around on this...
