Last Day!!!

It's finally here - the last day of school!  I think besides Christmas, this is one of the most anxiously anticipated days of the year.  The kids were up early, we had breakfast at the bus stop and loaded up with our teacher gifts.  Every year we give them jars of gumballs, a book with the the child's name in the title, and a gift card.  Max and Kenna have both had a great year - so thankful for wonderful teachers and great kids who hang in there. 

I can't believe Brett will be on that bus in a few months!   Today,Max and all the 5th graders wore their class shirts - they are getting 5th grade memory books today too!

After school, we thought it would be fun to surprise the kids with water balloons, water guns, silly string, and Popsicles.  It was definitely a hit with the kids waiting for the bus to arrive and most of the school kids but for some reason, Max wasn't having any of it.  Maybe he just wanted to relax.  But we had fun and are anxiously anticipating a more flexible schedule.  Sure we have swim team in the morning, but the rest of the day is a bit more open - Hooray!!!!
