I love summer! I love the fact that once swimming is through, we can plan our days and go where we want. Next week is scheduled and then July will come, so we are doing our best to cram our Texas adventures in now. We headed to the natural science museum to see the new paleontology exhibit that just opened. We also had groupons for the the butterfly exhibit, so we soaked in all the bugs (roaches included) before heading out to the rain forest rainbowed with butterflies. Max has a knack for getting those fragile creatures to land on him. Kenna tried relentlessly for the same result but was unfortunately not successful.
Juggling the stroller and trying to keep track of everyone didn't lend itself to much picture taking but the dinosaurs were amazing. They were huge and there were so many to look at! It was pretty cool - Brett and Cade wanted to climb up on their platforms so we rushed through a bit at the end.
After the museum, we headed to our friends', Ronan and Whit's, birthday party. We weren't prepared with swimsuits but things worked out. The kids loved the pinata and especially thought it was cool that a 3 and 5 year old were given a REAL bow an arrow (not sure the parents were thrilled). It's been a full day which means a lazy evening which is perfectly fine by me.
